Entrepreneurial intention, predictor variables, University studentsAbstract
The study of entrepreneurship from a multidisciplinary perspective leads to the importance of applying sociodemographic and psychological perspectives to a population of University students, to a study that allows us to know the sociodemographic variables and the perception that University students have about their characteristics and conditions for entrepreneurship, and the influence of these on their entrepreneurial intention. This research has the objective of knowing the sociodemographic characteristics and the perceptions of characteristics and conditions that University students have, in order to identify which variables, individually or grouped, influence directly or through mediating variables on entrepreneurial intention. To do this, a sample of University students was obtained, from which the statistical analysis performed verified that each variable is a predictor of entrepreneurial intention. Grouping the variables into external factor and internal factor and using the variables of the Theory of Planned Behavior (motivation, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control) as mediators, it was obtained that the external factor has no direct relationship, but through the mediators, while the internal factor has a direct relationship in the sample and through the mediators.
