Abstract

This work aims to determine how the factors of top management and users training influence their satisfaction through the quality of IT service, and the perceived usefulness of the information systems (IS) of higher-level educational institutions in the center of Tamaulipas, Mexico. 141 questionnaires were collected and analyzed using the variance-based structural equation modeling technique. Of the constructs considered, the support and usefulness of senior management had the most significant associations. The findings provide practical implications on how to increase the effectiveness of IS in organizations.
