Abstract

The uses of the Mobile Communication Devices in the university are generating new ways of being and behaving. According to this study, the students use them to communicate, to look for information, to perform their tasks and as entertainment, which is causing changes and effects in education as they are: in the different types of learning and in social interactions. This is the reason why the present work was aimed at exploring the consequences of the use of devices by students inside the school outside the classroom. The methodology for this investigation is qualitative-descriptive with a microsocial level. Theories of analysis were social constructivism in technology and the theory of uses and gratifications.
