Abstract

It is frequent that researchers and professors who take their paper work to Forums and Colloquiums specialized in the topic of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) included in educational training, talk about all the benefits it has as a supportive tool, however, the subject changes when it is made a reference to the courses taught online, the first impression comes with many practical advantages, but in the end almost all agree in an aspect that for some is worrying: the desertion. When collecting information it is observed that the dropout may be due to the lack of technological knowledge applied specifically to learning by the teacher and / or the learner, however, those competences to develop autonomous learning are not taught in school, so exposing the student to these throughout an online course without prior preparation can cause different emotions called negative for learning. Nowadays the emotional element has begun to be studied in the educational environment, in the school, within the classroom, but there have not been enough studies that relate the online educational processes with the emotions as a possible factor for desertion. The objective of this doctoral research is to delve deeper into the subject of emotions that arise both in students and tutors when the teaching-learning process is being carried out online, this without forgetting the technological, pedagogical and psychological implications that this process entails.
