Abstract
We present a report of the partial results of the research starting from the premise that educational and the political or legal systems were the pillars in the construction of the new citizen with which the intellectual elites built the 19th century Mexico. We offer at first approach to these intellectual and political networks around several characters tasked with the political and pedagogical construction, in the state of Chihuahua with such particular characteristics, of the new educational model which resulted from the liberal reforms of the epoch and coupled with the positivism which dominated the intellectual field of the time.
