Abstract

This paper presents the results of research in which the digital knowledge of last year's students of three public high schools affiliated to the National Baccalaureate System (NBS) of the city of Xalapa, Veracruz in 2015 was compared considering the competences and Attributes in use and management of ICT from the Integral Reform of Higher Secondary Education (IRHS) implemented nationwide in 2008 in these schools. A quantitative study of descriptive type was developed through the application of a survey for students, designed within the framework of the Digital Gap project between professors and students of the Universidad Veracruzana: cultural capital; school trajectories or academic performance; and degree of TAG technology appropriation of the Research Institute in Education of the Universidad Veracruzana measuring ten digital knowledge of high school graduates, together with the frequency and use of the Internet, the technological affinity or perception of their use of ICT and the frequency of use of the institutional services are part of the degree of technological appropriation (TAG) of them.
