Abstract

The following paper comparatively analyzes the role played by logical development and its application in solving and/or comprehending mathematical propositions in students of the first and second cycle from the Technologies of Information and Communication areas. The research inquiries if high-performance students have incorporated logical reasoning strategies to solve/comprehend mathematical propositions, likewise determine if these strategies have been used by less successful students and if so, the factor behind the repercussions in their performance. The results of the research have as a goal to an inquiry about the grade of influence logical thinking has over the development of mathematical thinking and programming skills.
