Abstract

This paper presents the partial results of a phenomenological research that has as objective to know the influence of symbolic goods in the process of the training of the students in the Degree of Educational Intervention, concretely the musical consumption and its relationship with the cultural capital. This report corresponds to the results of the analysis of students' reading performance and their relationship with their cultural capital. A survey was implemented to 382 students by electronic means and they were analyzed through a statistical program, stating that the behavior of the population in relation to the reading habits does not correspond to the expectation that is commonly kept in the school.
