Abstract

The present report derives from a research which purpose is to know the cultural consumption of reading among primary school teachers. Part of the premise is that the teacher is the professional that has among their work the promotion of reading habits, the concern arises to inquire about the reading habits among this group of professionals. The process begins with a hermeneutic phase of documentary analysis in which the investigations on the subject have been carried out on an international and national scope. The search for other research and studies related to the subject, allowed us to identify the need to expand cultural consumption studies specifically in the teaching field, where we find a few investigations on this subject.
