Abstract

Teaching is the second most common choice in the labor pool for people dedicated to art, however, the artistic and educational area are perceived as different professions. The following study aims to reflect on the acquisitions of teaching skills from an artistic point of view. The theoretical framework created for this process, regarding the acquisition of professional teaching skills, such as: Generating practical skills, incorporating expert teachers or mentors, selecting leaders to instruct and facilitate mutual learning. Reaching the conclusion that universities must offer their students art, to acquire the necessary teaching and research skills, needed for the work field, making them think about responsibility in the development of these skills inside the art field.
