Abstract
This article presents an investigation carried out in virtual classrooms, which purpose was to evaluate the competencies implemented by the tutor when developing their online course. It is part of a larger investigation from which the instruments of evaluation of the teaching competencies are derived, 7 virtual universities were evaluated using the same guidelines considering as factor of inclusion the active interaction of the teacher-student. 2 Blackboard and Moodle platforms were also used. This is an exploratory, descriptive, qualitative research based on communication between teacher and students in the different areas of the course. The results allowed to validate and evaluate the competencies used by the virtual teacher. A means of verifying the necessary competencies for the online teacher is established.
