Abstract
The use of a digital portfolio in the teaching field as a methodological tool for evaluation facilitates teaching and learning in teacher training, as it is a resource based on the analysis, reflection and evaluation of evidences that reflect the effective development of professional competences, used in this particular case to obtain the title of Degree in Primary Education under the modality of evidence portfolio proposed by the General Directorate of Higher Education for Educational Professionals, being the first of its kind in the Normal Schools of the state of Chihuahua. The document describes the use of the digital portfolio at various occasions, from the methodology used to define the competencies that were developed, the selection of the evidence for specific periods and its assessment based on theoretical and empirical arguments. Giving satisfactory results due to the teacher in training reflecting significant advance in the professional competencies in which emphasis was made, one referring to the use of ICT in education and another regarding educational planning, likewise the findings demonstrated their theoretical mastery - The methodology of the improvement proposal and even more relevant generated a sense of self-criticism and self-reflection of his professional and teaching performance.
