Abstract

This paper contributes information about the new global education devices being developed in Mexico. We focus on the recent creation of Queretaro’s University of Aeronautics (UNAQ) due to the innovative educative offer it presents, where external and local agents cooperate, such as governments and private business. Analyzing whether this collaboration strategy is akin to third generation devices being developed in other countries for the creation of educational hubs. Despite the lack of a clear definition for these, nor indexes to measure their success and evolution, they are part of a wide range strategy (national project) planned to consolidate a region or locale, in order to gain recognition for their competency and specialized knowledge, adapted to the needs of the zone. The following analysis aims to identify if the UNAQ is developing an educational hub.
