Abstract
The following paper is generated from the research project "The collegial work in the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional del Estado de Chihuahua, Campus Parral", developed during the 2013-2015 period. It is a final research report with a qualitative approach based on the phenomenological method, which seeks to identify in the subjects involved the experiences they have; their school life, how they interpret and value it. In the process of data collection, various instruments are used: Semi-structured Interview applied to Campus teachers, Surveys directed to managers, coordinators of academic programs and teachers; as well as the direct observation of collegiate sessions of the different programs. At the same time, normative documents of the Secretaría de Educación Pública (Guidelines for collegiate work), the Law of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional del Estado de Chihuahua (2011) and various documents issued by UPNECH regarding collegial work are reviewed. The findings show that the purposes of collegiality-teacher professionalization, participatory decision-making that guides and defines the course of the institution and its actors are significantly contrasted by the actions of the subjects investigated, as such luck that a balkanized paradigm is evident that creates in the same collegiate meetings spaces of isolation, restricted leadership, communication deficiency, processes that hinder points of view and impoverish the work in general, as well institutional inertia install in a teaching activity aimed towards professional collaboration.
