Abstract

Ecuador is soon to have been 10 years under the presidency of Rafael Correa. In educational politics terms, there’s a series of transformations that today deserve to be revised, evaluated and criticized. A strong point is an investment made, according to the Education Ministry, in 2015 the investment will be almost 20 million USD since it started in 2007, reaching the goal of basic universal education at 96% assistance. Amongst the main problems is high school students dropping out and lacking high indexes in standardized tests. With all this said, it’s expected to understand the state of the modern Ecuadorian education, the current educative programs and the goals that require more effort to be realized.
